CRCPRA Fishing Pier is now complete!

The management committee would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who was involved in making our new fishing pier a reality! The ADA compliant fishing pier is now open for all to enjoy! The 46 foot pier, originally designed by the management committee, allows people of all ages and abilities to get out on the water, enjoy the Ferry Pond and it’s aquatic habitat. Anderson Bridges of Colfax created the blueprints and built the permanent structure earlier this spring/summer. Thank you to Ashley Anderson and the crew at Anderson Bridges. We couldn’t be happier with the quality construction! Thank you to Tyler, Kirk, Doug and Dean for moving tons of gravel, sand and soil as they prepared the approach to the fishing pier and handicap picnic table. Thank you to Tyler, Doug, Jim, Wade, Gunnar, Cole, Jim and Nate for your work forming and pouring the concrete. It turned out great! Tyler and Kirk did the finish grading, and the committee members (Kathy, Mark, Julie, Lee and Keith) did the seeding of native prairie plants. The pier has had a lot of activity the past few months! Bass and Bluegills could be seen spawning in the gravel next to the pier. Enjoy!

More pictures will be posted next week!
