Ready to help make a new river trail at the Preserve?
We’ll be holding workdays at the Preserve on November 16 and December 14 starting at 1 p.m. to build more trail along the river south of the asphalt road. The work efforts will include cutting buckthorn, stacking it (and burning the piles if weather permits). If you are experienced with a chain saw, we welcome your help. If not, we welcome your help with loppers, piling the cut shrubs, or spraying the cut stumps. The land is uneven and overgrown so wear sturdy shoes, heavy gloves and good cheer. In case there is a need to change the work date, please check this Facebook page for any changes. To help us plan for the day it would also be helpful if you would call 715-962-4010 to advise you will be joining and to ask any questions about the work days.
